The most controlled half-long pips: slower, easier to place and comfortable in defence.
Diamant is the control end of the medium-pips group. It gives away speed to gain a very stable block and a usable chop, and its returns still carry the flat, slightly wobbling quality that separates half-long pips from short pips. It suits all-round players who alternate between blocking at the table and stepping back, rather than pure attackers.
