Dr. Neubauer · Fighter · Long pips

Fighter

A long pips offered in OX and a 1.2 mm dampening build, with a livelier attacking response.

Fighter is intended for players who block and hit with long pips rather than chop with them. The OX build gives maximum reversal and the lowest speed; the 1.2 mm dampening sponge takes pace out of the incoming ball while allowing a more active stroke. Reversal remains high on passive contacts, and own spin, as with all long pips, is minimal.

Spin reversal is the returned rotation of the incoming ball. It is stored separately from the TTDNA spin rating, which measures the rubber's own spin production.

Strengths

  • Very high spin reversal on passive contacts
  • Strongly disruptive ball quality
  • Stable when chopping

Weaknesses

  • Own spin production is minimal by design
  • Less forgiving on mistimed contacts

Best for

  • Players who disrupt rather than out-spin opponents
  • Attacking long pips players
  • Blocking players
  • Disruptive players

Not ideal for

  • Players who want to loop with this side of the blade
