Dr. Neubauer · Pistol · Short pips

Pistol 2

The second Pistol: slightly more disruptive and a touch less spin-oriented than the original.

Pistol 2 shifts the balance of the original towards disturbance. Returns come back flatter, the block is more irregular, and the rubber gives up a little of the first version's spin in exchange. It remains an attacking close-table rubber with a soft, comfortable sponge, and it is a separate product from Pistol rather than a replacement.

Known users

Fast-block and hitting players — pen-hold forehands and close-to-table backhands that punish topspin early.

Dr. Neubauer publishes no athlete roster for this sheet, so TTDNA shows the player profile it is built for instead of invented names.
