Blue Whale II

Blue Whale II keeps the tacky Haifu topsheet but pairs it with a firmer, more elastic sponge. The result is a noticeably more dynamic sheet on full-power loops while retaining the low arc and heavy spin of the family. It is a separate record from Blue Whale I and Blue Whale III, and no specification is copied between the generations.

Approval evidence and market availability are recorded separately. A commercial listing is not proof of current ITTF legality, and an approval listing is not proof of current production. Approval is never inherited by an edition, and no expiry date is invented.

Market status describes current commercial availability only. A sold-out button or a low-stock warning is a stock state, not a discontinuation, and where availability could not be verified it stays unknown.

Haifu states sponge hardness on its own degree scale. Those values are preserved verbatim and are never converted to an ESN degree.

No reliable official Haifu list price is published per region, so no price is shown rather than an invented one.

Commercial, provincial, national and training editions are structured properties of one canonical product, never separate records. Factory tuning is stored per edition and is never inferred from an edition name, and an edition never inherits the commercial version's approval.

Factory tuning status is a separate fact from the edition level. Where no source states whether a sheet leaves the factory tuned, the status stays unknown rather than being assumed.

  • Heavy spin retained

Weaknesses

  • Firmer sponge needs a developed stroke
  • Less forgiving on passive blocks

Best for

Generations are never merged automatically. Blue Whale I, II and III, White Shark I, II and III, and Pirates 07 and 08 are separate records, and no specification is copied between them.

Colour, thickness and configuration are variants of one model — never separate products. Colour never changes a rating, MAX and OX stay qualitative labels, and OX carries no sponge hardness.

Known users

Offensive club and league players who want a spin-first inverted sheet on the forehand or backhand.

Haifu publishes no athlete roster for this sheet, so TTDNA shows the player profile it is built for instead of invented names.

Rest of the Blue Whale family

Family membership groups related names. It never means shared construction, and family members are never merged into one record.
